Position Overview
Bolton College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Employability Lecturer to join our Foundation Learning team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about helping learners develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to succeed in employment or progress into further study.
You will plan and deliver engaging employability-focused sessions tailored to the needs of diverse learner groups, supporting them to achieve their goals and preparing them for life beyond college.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality employability sessions across a range of learner levels
- Develop learners’ confidence, communication skills, and understanding of the workplace
- Support learners with CV writing, interview skills, job applications, and career planning
- Provide constructive feedback and track learner progress against individual goals
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and achievement
Key Requirements
- A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Experience delivering employability or personal development programmes
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A learner-centred approach with the ability to motivate and support diverse groups
- Excellent organisational skills and a commitment to positive learner outcomes
