The Exciting Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Trainer Assessor to join our talented and learner focused Apprenticeship Team on a permanent basis, working 18.5 hours a week. Working with a range of key employers in this sector you will be coaching and training apprentices in our newly refurbished workshops at our Accrington Campus, as well as regular workplace sessions to support apprentices through to successful End Point Assessment.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Supporting apprentices in painting and decorating where they are developing/enhancing their knowledge and skills
- Manage your caseload of learners and support individuals’ knowledge, skills and behaviour development in the workplace, managing expectations thorough effective reviews taking place on a 10-12-week basis with employers
- Be pro-active and engage with apprentices, coaching and demonstrating best practice and behaviours in line with the apprenticeship standards
- Deliver all elements of the programme including: training, mentoring, learner reviews, timely feedback and assessment
- Conduct initial assessment of learners and employer needs to create an individualised learning plan
- Maintain accurate learner records and training plans/assessments through our electronic portfolio
- Establish and maintain good relationships with employers and learners and workshop tutors.
What We Are Looking For:
- Substantial current experience of successful delivery Apprenticeship Standards in Painting and Decorating.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
- GCSE grade C or equivalent qualification in both Maths and English
- A recognised assessing qualification e.g. A1 Assessors Award
- Recognised teaching qualification at Level 3 or above or a willingness to undertake this.
