The Exciting Role
An exciting new opportunity has become available for a Head of Division to lead, manage, and drive the development of the curriculum in areas that have been identified as a key strategic priority.
We are committed to investing in and growing these areas of provision and as such have created this new post as an opportunity for an experienced leader to join us at an exciting time. With significant capital investment projects and curriculum reform we are looking to recruit a Head of Division to maintain our outstanding provision whilst driving the developments needed to ensure we are best placed to respond to and meet local and regional technical skills priorities.
Key to success in this role will be the ability to manage and lead a team whilst working with internal and external stakeholders to develop and grow the curriculum including the introduction and management of T-Levels.
The successful candidate will be based at Accrington and Rossendale College.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead a highly ambitious curriculum offer for all learners across the division and to continually review curriculum intent to ensure a highly relevant curriculum offer and learner experience.
- Lead the development of a career and progression focussed curriculum offer that is aligned with the national, regional and local context and funding priorities.
- Be pro-active in promoting and developing collaborative external relationships and strategic partnerships that will enhance the College’s reputation and support innovation in the curriculum.
- Be accountable for leading the development and delivery of a high-quality range of provision, consistently leading to high value technical and professional destinations for all learners.
- Play an integral role within the College Leadership Team, working closely with the Director, other heads of division and leaders of support areas to meet divisional and strategic college targets.
- Having a teaching caseload of approximately 330 teaching hours per annum.
What We Are Looking For:
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification.
- Hold relevant leadership and sectoral qualifications
- Evidence of successful staff management and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- The ability to design, develop and deliver an employer focussed curriculum.
- Experience of delivering an outstanding learner experience.
