You will join us on a part-time 16 hpw, fixed-term basis to 28th June 2024 and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £24,872- £43,440 pa inc LW (to be pro rata'd to 16hpw, 0.444 FTE)
The Lecturer - Art and Design role:
Key Responsibilities of our Lecturer - Art and Design:
- Plan, teach and assess on one or more of the courses delivered within cultural & Creative Industries sector, ranging from level 1 to Level 4, or serviced, by the curriculum area and contribute to the development of existing and new, innovative provision, including the implementation of motivational, flexible and blended learning and cost effective teaching and learning styles. You should have experience of general Art and Design practice and Fashion.
- Complete the administrative work associated with teaching efficiently and effectively, including timely completion of registers (which are auditable documents and a requirement by law), lesson planning documentation, schemes and records of work, E-ILPs, learner tracking and monitoring documentation and various forms of learner progression sheets
- Develop and implement learner-centered, learner assessment strategies in accordance with college policies (which place learners at the center and emphasise the significance of constructive and developmental feedback for successful learning). Awarding Body assessment requirements must also be followed rigidly
Our ideal Lecturer - Art and Design should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Have a degree or equivalent qualification in a subject relevant to the courses delivered in creative
- Possess a teaching qualification
- Have recent and relevant experience of teaching the subject to learners from Level 1 to Level 6 higher education
- Industrial experience of Art and Design production.
- Ability to deliver excellent teaching, learning and assessment pedagogic practice.
- Have the ability and interest to contribute to learner enrichment activities
