We have some exciting opportunities available at Barking and Dagenham College. We are looking for Head of Apprenticeship to join our Apprenticeship team
You will join us on a full-time, fixed-term basis to 28th March 2025 and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £54,210 - £67,869 pa inc London Weighting.
The Head of Apprenticeship role:
The Head of Apprenticeships is responsible for overseeing the BDC Apprenticeship delivery, acting as a central management point monitoring all aspects of Apprenticeship performance. The Postholder will work closely with college delivery leads, Business Development, and Management Information Services to ensure Apprenticeship quality standards compliance and targets are met. The Postholder will work collaboratively with curriculum colleagues across the provision to ensure regional/national economic needs are met through effective programme design, apprentice recruitment, high retention and timely achievement. Whilst also gaining positive employer satisfaction and ensuring Funding Agency requirements are met. The Head of Apprenticeships will ensure the College is ready to meet the changing needs of the employer landscape as the Government works to increase apprenticeship participation.
Key Responsibilities of our Head of Apprenticeship:
- To have an Oversight and management of Apprenticeship planning and ongoing viability of programmes.
- To ensure the college is delivering compliant programmes in line with ESFA Funding Rules, working closely with CIS to monitor compliance throughout the Apprenticeship journey.
- Manage the Apprenticeship programme validation process to ensure new programmes meet quality and compliance standards.
Our ideal Head of Apprenticeship should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Have a thorough understanding of the requirements of apprenticeship programmes both in terms of quality assurance compliance and funding body requirements
- Have experience of successfully planning and delivering apprenticeships across a variety of subject areas and at scale with consistently successful outcomes
