To directly support the Head of Quality with Internal Quality Assurance whilst also supporting with quality improvement and contribution to the design and development of curriculum resources and offers. This role is office based and travel will be required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out internal verification and quality assurance activities, ensuring that the learner journey is delivered in accordance with the Education Inspection Framework and meets the requirements of the Awarding Bodies. You will also play a large part and have experience of quality Improvement
Day to day, you will be part of the quality team that ensures accurate, efficient and timely delivery and provide monitoring, training and support. You will understand the organisations business strategy and its future capability needs in order to identify priorities across the organisation and support the creation of learning environments where Tutors/Trainers can continuously develop to be their best. This role reports directly to the Head of Quality.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out quality assurance activities, learner journey and qualification sampling ensuring best practice is adhered to.
· Design develop and review delivery materials and resources across all programmes ensuring awarding organisation requirements are always met.
· Develop, update and maintain sampling plans in line with company and awarding organisation requirements
· To support, motivate and develop Tutor/Trainers to deliver effective teaching, learning and assessment to maximise progress and positive outcomes.
· Internal quality assurance activities to ensure best practice across delivery including conducting regular Tutor/Trainer observations of teaching and learning (OTLAs)
· Supporting and delivering standardisation activities.
· Work with quality team to support Tutor/Trainers in ensuring timely completion of courses/programmes and Functional Skills.
· Support external quality assurance monitoring visits where required.
· Identify areas for improvement in delivery, assessment practices and procedures and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement changes.
· Work closely with the Head of Quality to co-ordinate the ongoing development of flexible learning solutions for learners.
· Work with the Head of Quality to implement actions to address the recommendations of the annual self-assessment report (SAR) and quality improvement plan (QIP)
· Provide support and guidance to the Tutor/Trainers to benefit the learners.
· Undertake assessment and onboarding activities when and if required by the business.
· Attend internal team and other meetings as required including a monthly performance 121 with your line manager.
· Understand and advocate Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework and the importance of the key areas of delivery i.e. ‘Quality of Education’
· Understand the Education and Skills Funding Agency minimum requirements for delivery.
· Be committed to understanding and adhering to PHX Training’s Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Prevent, Health and Safety and all other policies and procedures.
· Deliver and assess (where required) assessment qualifications (TAQA), and other standards to staff.
· Support effective Induction of new Tutor/Trainers to the organisation.

· Ensure Tutor/Trainer CPD is up-to-date enabling early identification of any key development needs are supported as appropriate
· Ensure all quality standards and processes are met across the business for all contracts.
· Schedule and deliver an acceptable programme of standardisation meetings per qualification.
· Schedule appropriate training to relevant staff once new material has been approved and provide assurance that this is being used correctly.
· Participate in improving and reviewing quality processes, to ensure excellent quality is maintained across the business.
· Collaborate with IQA colleagues to put in place or implement any changes relevant to quality standards and processes across all qualifications
· Produce regular reports on tutor/trainer, centre performance and providing input into company QIP and SAR as relevant.
· Support Head of Quality with Ofsted awareness and training incorporating a revision of policies and procedures as appropriate.
· Ensure that personal occupational competence and development is up to date in line with the company, awarding organisation and Ofsted requirements.
· To promote the use of e-assessment and appropriate technology with all clients, learners and employers.
· Report directly to the Head of Quality, providing comprehensive reports on a monthly basis

Relevant Qualifications and Experience
· At least a level 4 teaching qualification
· Assessment Qualification (theory and competence based)
· Internal quality assurance (IQA) qualification (theory and competence based)
· Competency across several subject areas
· A minimum of 3 years in a current IQA role
· Evidence of conducting OTLAs (or similar)
· Excellent communicator both orally and on paper, including the ability to speak fluent English with clarity.
· Up to date CPD and Personal Development activities
· Awareness of current developments in standards, awards, and qualifications.
· Excellent organisation and administrative abilities.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· An enthusiasm for all aspects of 16+ education and a commitment to the well-being of learners
