ESCC have the exciting opportunity to offer one new post a Visiting Officer in the Appointee & Deputyship Team (ADT). The team helps adults who lack mental capacity to manage their own financial affairs. They do this by taking on the responsibility by way of The role of the Visiting Officer is to meet with the person to introduce ourselves, explain our role and visit them at least once a year. The visits are conducted in line with our responsibilities as set out in:

The role will include, but not limited to
Making sure the client is happy with our service. Checking if they need any additional support with their finances. Reviewing their income and outgoings, including a full benefit check Completing benefit application forms Budgeting Making Best Interest Decisions Liaising with families and professionals Currently, the role of visiting is being carried out virtually via MS Teams. However, the expectation of the role is to travel throughout the county daily, to complete face to face visits in the person’s home. The team are hybrid working, with a mix of working from home and working in the office. Due to the nature of the role, and the current home working arrangements, it is important that you are organised, self-motivated, decisive, and collaborative.
This is a fast paced and developing service with high standards and aspirations to deliver a gold standard service to our customers. You will be joining a highly motivated team who are passionate about the service they deliver. You will need knowledge of working with computers including Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office. You will work on several bespoke database systems for which you will receive full training and ongoing support.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
