The RoleWe’re looking for a Development Coach (Leadership & Operations) to deliver both structured training and personalised coaching across Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 and Operations Manager Level 5 apprenticeships.
You’ll use your operational leadership experience to:
Deliver engaging training sessions and workshops.
Coach apprentices 1:1 and in groups.
Prepare learners for EPA and support them throughout their full journey.
Topics include decision‑making, performance management, resource planning, project delivery, change management and communication.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality sessions, workshops and group learning
- Create inclusive, interactive and accessible learning experiences
- Embed real‑world operational and leadership practice
- Adapt delivery to diverse learning needs
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group coaching
- Track progress, identify gaps and tailor support
- Build confidence, behaviours and leadership capability
- Manage onboarding, reviews, pastoral support and interventions
- Maintain accurate records aligned to funding, Ofsted and quality standards
- Collaborate with curriculum, quality and performance teams
- Role‑model professionalism and continuous improvement
- Uphold Safeguarding, Prevent and H&S standards
- Follow all Apprentify policies and quality processes
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in operational management or leadership
- Experience delivering training, workshops, facilitation or teaching
- Coaching or mentoring experience in a work‑based learning environment
- Ability to translate leadership and operational concepts into practical, engaging learning
- Strong understanding of people management, performance improvement and operational leadership
- Skilled in providing high‑quality developmental feedback
- Knowledge of Leadership & Management apprenticeship standards (L3 & L5)
- Understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent, EDI and Ofsted EIF
- Proven track record of strong apprenticeship outcomes (including merits/distinctions at EPA)
- Enhanced DBS (or ability to obtain)
- Industry‑recognised qualifications in leadership, operations, training, coaching or people development (desirable)
- Experience delivering or supporting Team Leader L3 and/or Operations Manager L5 apprenticeships (desirable)
- Knowledge of EPA processes and preparation requirements (desirable)
- Understanding of apprenticeship QA and compliance (desirable)
