Retail Account Manager
Our Retail Division is an exciting area of Westcoast, working collaboratively with top retailers in the UK. The retail team are a driving force behind our success as no.1 UK distributor for many of our vendors and customers, thanks to the hard work and dedication of these people we can maintain and grow vendor relationships and drive revenue across the business.
What is the role?
To work with the National Account Manager in delivering world-class service to a defined portfolio of major retail accounts. To manage product availability through forecast analysis and to grow revenue and profit.
Supporting the National Account Manager in both customer and vendor meetings; analysing stock and sales information as well as retailer forecasts, presenting performance data, making order recommendations to both external customers and Westcoast product managers and strengthening Westcoast’s relationship with its key retail partners.
The role is based from the Westcoast Theale, (Reading) office with an expectation that you would support the National Account Manager off-site in customer / vendor visits when required.
How will you do this?
- Work collaboratively with appropriate vendor/retail contacts
- Conduct & contribute to retailer/vendor meetings
- Monitor weekly stock and sales
- Develop and maintain reporting tools to track and enhance inventory flow
- Manage, implement, and analyse all promotional activity
- Manage the delivery of any pre-agreed performance KPIs with the retail accounts.
- Manage and co-ordinate the setup of new products and price updates to existing products
- Manage the launch of new ranges ensuring 100% product availability
- Develop and maintain client relationships

- Background in retail account management, category management or FMCG account management essential
- Good understanding of supply chain & logistics in a retail environment
- Analytical - able to spot trends and draw conclusions from data and make stock recommendations
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively under pressure and with changing priorities and workload
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills
