Dealing with Building Services Maintenance Engineer professionals, you will receive full, comprehensive training, and the opportunity to work towards industry-recognised accreditations, the hours of attendance will be 37.5 hours per week accompanied by a competitive salary which is annually reviewed.
This position is a full-time role consisting of a mixture of remote/field based/national, with planned travel to the Head office in Worcester that will include delivering classroom Building service engineering (BSE) knowledge and skills sessions to a set delivery timetable. You will have the full support of the company and an experienced manager to ensure your development as a BSE Trainer.
This role will involve using blended learning techniques via electronic platforms and include facilitating classroom training using online delivery platforms, alongside coaching the learners on a one-to-one basis.

Typical duties of the Apprenticeship Trainer/ Coach will include:
- Support learners with Functional Skills in Maths and English to level 2 where applicable.
- Supporting learners in the workplace and guiding the learners to the End Point Assessment
- Providing information and guidance to the learner and employer about the Programme
- Working to specific quality and completion of targets
- Helping with the enrolment of learners- Complete all relevant paperwork using the electronic process to ensure a learner is signed up/achieve/leavers according to procedures
- Conduct regular reviews of progress with both the learner and employer
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
- Ensure all Health and Safety, safeguarding procedures have adhered to Skills, experience and qualifications required for the Apprenticeship Trainer – Building services Maintenance Engineer
- Ideally be Assessor qualified, A1, TAQA, CAVA, or D32, D33 or be prepared to work towards as the company will support and fund this qualification!! We just need your enthusiasm!
- Qualification in Building Services Engineering or similar, relevant, engineering discipline
- Teaching qualification or a commitment to achieve a recognised qualification.
- Qualified in building services or similar disciplines in electrical engineering or HVAC and Plumbing.
- Demonstrable involvement in Building Services Engineering at Senior Engineer or management level – Desirable.
- Membership MIEE recognised Higher Education teaching body - Desirable
- Playing or having played an active role in any Professional Engineering Institution as a volunteer or committee member – Desirable.
- A genuine desire to move into the world of training, a superb communicator, passionate and organised. You must also be able to work under your initiative.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle
- A good standard of General Education (GCSE / Work-related Quals) or level 2 equivalent.
- Some Experience in coaching and training in some capacity
- Experience in using online platforms such as, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Smart rooms- classroom
Training required in the post:
- Mandatory training e.g. Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Data Protection to ensure legislative compliance
- Attend appropriate training courses as new methods of work are adopted.
This role is suitable for candidates who have worked as a maintenance manager for engineering or large facilities management companies and have extensive knowledge and background in facilities engineering. Some hands-on experience would be an advantage.
