Lecturer in Travel & Tourism
Where you’ll work: This role is based at either Dartford or Tonbridge, but the nature of the work will require travel to any of the College sites as required.
Your hours:Full-time or Part-time hours, 52 weeks per annum.
Your pay: Spine Points 32 (£31,794 full time equivalent) to 37 (£36,859 full time equivalent), rising to a ceiling of Spine Point 40 (£40,287 full time equivalent) with a full teaching qualification.
Working within North Kent College’s Travel & Tourism curriculum area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitability qualified, experienced and passionate individual to join the team as a Lecturer in Travel & Tourism.
You’ll be required to prepare, teach and assess at a variety of qualification levels, providing support and guidance to your learners as they progress through their studies.
You’ll have specialist knowledge of the curriculum area, which may be enhanced by any relevant industry / professional experience, as well as a formal qualification that underpins this knowledge.
We need you to be a team player and an excellent communicator, able to maintain a proactive approach and an eye for detail whilst working to challenging deadlines.
Teaching experience, particularly within Further Education, would be advantageous but isn’t essential. Likewise, although a full teaching qualification (at Level 5 or above) isn’t required at this stage, you would need to secure this within 3 years of appointment.
