About the Role
The SEND adult provision is available across 3 London boroughs, Surbiton (Kingston), Merton and Richmond with different vocational, basic and life skills and wellbeing courses for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities.
The Supported Learning department provides in-class and 1:1 support to our learners to support them to access the courses and work and develop their skills and knowledge on a wide range of courses. We have high expectations and aspirations for all our learners developing greater independence and for future progression.
Due to a successful expansion of our provision, LSWs (Learning Support Workers) are required to provide in-class support to the learners at the sites below.
Courses are scheduled across the week Monday to Friday, please see below for the vacancies at each venue.
- Hillcroft 9.15am to 3.45pm Monday and Wednesday – Surbiton Station 2min walk
- Merton - Pollards Hill Library Wednesday 9.30am to 3pm
- Merton - Raynes Park Library Tuesday 9.45am to 2.45pm
The role is term time only across the academic year.

The successful candidate(s) will have excellent communication and the commitment with the ability to motivate learners to achieve their targets, have a supportive and positive approach and be able to respond effectively to the learner’s individual needs.
