Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced tutor to deliver BTEC PGW (Personal Growth and
Well-being and Workskills)1 day per week to 14–16-year-olds at our Isle of
Sheppey alternative provision. Planning and delivering innovative vocational
lessons, providing coaching and mentoring, monitoring student progression,
adhering to policies/procedures, and assisting learners in developing job readiness skills. You will take part in standardisation meetings, promote
equality/diversity, conduct reviews with students, and motivate them to stay
engaged.
With Qualifications In Assessing, Teaching, And PGW (Personal Growth
and Well-being and skills) industry experience, you will embed English/maths,
meet targets, and maintain quality standards. This impactful role involves
inspiring young people through outstanding teaching and tailored support.
Experience working in a SEND setting, particularly students with ADHD and ASD
would be an advantage, as well as experience of restorative practice If you are
passionate about transforming lives and have proven BTEC delivery expertise.

Education And Experience
- Coaching/mentoring/teaching/assessing qualification
- Experience with restorative and therapeutic practices
- 3+ years working with 11–16-year-olds
- Experience engaging hard to reach young people
