The opportunity
This is an exciting new Early Careers Coach role we are introducing to bring expertise to the design and delivery of our Graduate Programme, with an emphasis on coaching the People Leaders managing our Graduates day to day.
The Early Careers Coach will bring external best practice to the table on how to manage Graduates and Placement Students alongside multiple generations also in the workplace. They will design interventions that will upskill the Leader community, sharing the best in class practice to develop, motivate and retain their team.
The role can be based anywhere with a mix of working from home and onsite to truly engage with the People Leader community.
We are looking for someone with the confidence to influence, inspire and motivate our People Leaders to adopt the best practices in looking after their Graduates and wider team.
What You’ll Do As An Early Careers Coach
- Influence the design and delivery of our Graduate Programme by bringing in and embedding external best practice and considering how to integrate Graduates in a multi-generation workplace
- Educating and influencing the People Leaders to deploy the right skills to develop, motivate and retain their Graduates and wider team members
- Design a new Graduate Induction and be the port of call to ensure Leaders and Graduates both understand and buy-into the overall Programme
- Secure People Leader engagement before the Graduates set foot through the door and be there to guide and coach Leaders throughout the Programme
- Be responsible for inspiring and informing the People Leaders on the right things to be doing
- Actively promote existing Leadership Programmes to ensure Leaders are aware of the support available and are applying what they have learnt
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and be prepared to step in and coach individual Leaders where needed
- Confidently provide feedback to highlight best practice and call out poor practice and recommend better ways of leading Graduates
- Opportunities to progress into a variety of roles in the L&D Team or Talent Attraction Team at more senior levels
What We Need From You
You really must have
- Previous experience in designing, managing or delivering Early Careers Programmes and an understanding of current external trends and managing different generations in the workplace
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confident in articulating key messages and helping others receive feedback and learn
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to inspire Leaders to listen and then act
- Experience in coaching Leaders and being able to point to tangible outcomes the coaching led to
- Ability to give constructive feedback in a timely, clear and diplomatic way
- Partnering and collaborating with People Business Partners and others in the wider People Team
It would be nice if you had
- Experience designing interventions from small scale Forums to larger scale development programmes
- Previous experience of leading successful teams
