If you count among your skills business development, negotiating and relationship-building, and you have a track record in marketing or a similar field, this new opportunity within our Lifelong Learning team could be perfect for you.
We are keen to hear from individuals who can demonstrate successful delivery of effective marketing campaigns and who are used to working within processes and procedures, with some experience in a higher education setting.
Your work will involve planning and implementing marketing activity plus extensive contact with apprentices, their line managers and employers, maintaining and creating new partnerships, allowing you to put to use your interpersonal and influencing skills to reach successful outcomes.
As Senior Business Development & Marketing Officer you can expect to get involved in:
- providing strategic direction for the department's marketing activity, setting targets and ensuring these are met through detailed planning and implementation of successful marketing campaigns
- supporting the development of new business partnerships to increase new provision and apprenticeship business opportunities
- leading on engagement with specific industries and building employer networks
- working with employers in the apprentice recruitment and admissions process
What We Are Looking For In The Right Candidate
- experience of marketing, business-to-business sales or business development at a senior level
- experience of developing and delivering effective marketing campaigns including social media campaigns
- experience of apprentice-facing work or a similar environment
- experience of influencing and negotiating effectively
