Role Description
As a Data Trainer / Mentor at althaus, you will design and deliver engaging, practical training sessions and workshops that build data skills for learners and early-career professionals. You will support apprentices in developing core competencies in data analysis, data management, and related digital skills, providing guidance, feedback, and one-to-one mentoring to help them progress. You will contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement by aligning content with current industry practices and employer needs, ensuring that learning outcomes are measurable and relevant. You will also collaborate with internal teams and employer partners to monitor learner performance, maintain accurate records, and report on progression and attainment. This is a full-time hybrid role, all training is delivered online with occasional travel to Derby,
Qualifications
Strong data literacy, including experience with data analysis, data visualization, and interpreting data to inform decisions.Practical experience with common data tools or platforms (e.g., spreadsheets, BI tools, basic databases, or introductory coding for data) sufficient to train and mentor learners.Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training, workshops, or coaching sessions, ideally within digital, data, or technology-focused programs.Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in accessible, learner-friendly language.Mentoring or coaching experience, with a supportive approach to guiding diverse learners, building confidence, and encouraging independent problem-solving.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage learner records, track progress, and meet reporting deadlines.Comfort working in a hybrid environment, collaborating both on-site in Derby and remotely with colleagues and learners.Beneficial qualifications include a degree or professional certification in data, analytics, or a related digital discipline, and experience in apprenticeships, further education, or vocational training.Understanding of current trends in cloud, data, AI,
