Are you passionate about the power of great in-house learning?
Do you thrive in a role where you can blend coordination, delivery, and tangible impact?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Learning & Development Coordinator to join our People & Culture Team for a 9–12 month maternity cover contract.
YMCA Robin Hood Group operates across Nottinghamshire and East Riding, providing vital and varied services including:
• Supported housing for vulnerable adults and young people
• Children’s residential services
• Nurseries and childcare
• Sports and well-being facilities, including a climbing wall
• Hospitality venues
Our people are as diverse as the communities we support — and you’ll play a key role in helping every colleague develop, grow, and thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll take the lead on all things Learning & Development across the Group, including:
Learning Management System (ELMO):
• Overseeing day-to-day activities on our LMS with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ensuring learning content is consistently updated to maintain high standards.
• Creating and adding new courses that reflect best practices in learning.
• Maintaining accurate records and certificates to ensure compliance and quality.
Training Delivery:
• Facilitating key face-to-face sessions such as Professional Boundaries and EDI, ensuring engaging and impactful delivery.
• Delivering our corporate induction and other essential training with a focus on clarity and effectiveness.
Apprenticeships & Further Learning:
• Overseeing our apprenticeship programme and levy fund, ensuring high-quality training provision.
• Identifying new providers to deliver exceptional external training.
• Supporting learners, managers, and training providers throughout the journey to ensure successful progression and completion of qualifications.
You’ll work closely with our Talent Manager and be part of our vibrant, supportive People & Culture Team who are all passionate about making a difference.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who brings both passion and precision to in-house Learning & Development:
• A champion of L&D, believing wholeheartedly in the difference great learning can make.
• Engaging and confident in delivery, with the ability to energise a room while maintaining focus on outcomes.
• A natural relationship builder; curious about people and what makes them thrive.
• Experienced in delivering training, inductions, workshops, or similar learning activities.
• Detail-driven and organised, with a love for accurate administration, tracking, and reporting.
• Collaborative, positive, and excited about working with a range of stakeholders across our organisation.
We are looking for someone who is able to start between May - June 2026 to ensure a smooth, thorough handover. We want to ensure you have plenty of time to learn all of our processes and systems to make sure you thrive in the role.
Location & Working Pattern:
This role involves regular travel across our sites, including:
• Nottingham City Centre
• Newark
• Occasional travel to Mansfield and Goole
You’ll work:
• 1 day per week from home
• 4 days in either Nottingham or Newark depending on your schedule and delivery needs.
While public transport is available to all our locations, having a full driving licence and access to a car would make travel between sites easier.
