MK College Group are seeking a creative and inspiring Horticulture Lecturer to join the education team based at HMP Leyhill, a Category D, open male prison.
As a Horticulture Lecturer, you will be delivering City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate, and Diploma in Horticulture. The qualifications have both theoretical and practical elements. HMP Leyhill has classroom facilities for all theory delivery and being built on a 55-hectare estate, on the grounds of an arboretum, Leyhill provides the perfect natural resources required to study horticulture in impressive grounds including an orchard, market gardens, and extensive ornamental grounds which are often open to the public. There are polytunnels and greenhouses for when the conditions are less than favourable for outside learning. The department also works in synergy with Industries (particularly) Farms & Gardens.
