Project Overview
We’re engaging experts in Bulgarian to record short scripted reads. Think light voice acting/voiceover: clean diction, natural delivery, and consistent quality. Looking for expressive and conversational performance. If you have a quiet space and a decent mic, we want to hear you.
Target Profile
Near‑native proficiency in Bulgarian. Must speak 2 languages well (preferably non‑English). Native fluency in the listed language and either:
- Equal proficiency in the other language; or
- Near native in the other; or
- Working proficiency in the other.
What You’ll Do
- Record short lines and paragraphs in your dominant language with various tones (friendly, neutral, authoritative).
- Participate in paired or group script readings with other Bulgarian‑speakers, typically short scripts of around 5 minutes.
- Follow direction and retake as needed for timing, emphasis, and clarity.
- Submit clean, well‑labeled audio files on schedule.
What You’ll Need
- Native‑level fluency in your language and a strong, easy‑to‑understand speech.
- Silent recording environment (no background noise, echo, or hum).
- Crisp audio: good microphone is a big plus (USB/XLR), stable setup, pop filter if possible.
- Ability to follow briefs and take notes on pronunciation or style.
Nice‑to‑Haves
- Prior VO/voice acting, podcasting, or on‑mic experience.
- Basic audio hygiene (steady levels, consistent mic distance). No heavy editing required—just clean, raw takes.
Compensation & Details
We offer a pay range of $8 to $65 per hour, with the exact rate determined after evaluating your experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final offer amounts may vary from the pay range listed above. As a contractor, you’ll supply a secure computer, high‑quality microphone and recording setup, and a stable internet connection; company‑sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
