As a Lecturer in Functional Skills, you'll deliver high-quality teaching, support learning, and assess our students' progress in Maths and English in our apprenticeships division. You'll contribute to an engaging, inspiring learning environment, ensuring your teaching meets both our high college standards and the needs of awarding bodies.
What you'll do

Deliver engaging and interactive Functional Skills English and Maths lessons in classes and 1-1
Plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
Mark work, give clear feedback, and guide our students on how they can improve
Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment that encourages student participation.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and update curriculum content, ensuring it meets current educational standards.
Stay updated with innovative teaching methodologies in both English and Maths.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progression.

What you'll bring

Degree or vocational qualification in a related area.
GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or equivalent) - you can get this during your probationary period
Teaching qualification, or you're willing to work towards one with our support
Up-to-date and relevant subject knowledge that you're excited to share with students
Confidence with IT and e-learning tools and Information and Learning Technology (ILT) to enhance our student's experience
