Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Digital Engineering (Robotics & Applied AI)
School of Engineering at the University of Greenwich – this role supports the transformation of our academic portfolio to focus on Digital Engineering, specifically Applied AI in Engineering, Robotics and Automation, and Digital Engineering.
This position is primarily based at the Medway campus, with opportunities to contribute across both Greenwich and Medway campuses. The successful candidate will play a key role within the Digital Engineering and Innovation Portfolio, involving programmes such as Applied AI for Engineering, Robotics and Automation, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and develop Digital Engineering and Innovation programmes.
- Support the School’s strategic aims and ensure programmes meet PSRB requirements.
- Promote accreditation and alignment with professional institutions such as the IET.
- Contribute to the University’s performance in the Research Excellence Framework (REF), Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), and Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF).
- Commit to enhancing student satisfaction and experience.
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent professional experience in a related area.
- Strong background in teaching, research, or professional practice in Digital Engineering, Robotics, Applied AI, or related fields.
- Experience in higher education teaching or industry-led training highly desirable.
- Demonstrable understanding of professional standards and accreditation requirements.
- Relevant PSRB membership is a significant advantage.
