About the Role
Reed FE are working with a College in Melton Mowbray and are seeking an experienced Land-Based Service Engineering Lecturer / Trainer Assessor to join on a full-time temporary basis starting in January. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery and assessment of Land-Based Engineering qualifications and apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging teaching sessions to Year 1 apprenticeship groups.
- Assess and review a cohort of apprentices in the workplace.
- Provide expert guidance and support to learners across the Land-Based Engineering curriculum.
- Ensure high standards of training and assessment in line with industry requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Industry-Relevant Level 3 Qualification in Land-Based Engineering or similar.
- Strong understanding of the knowledge and skills required to be an effective Land-Based Engineering Technician.
- Competence in the repair and maintenance of:
- Hydraulic systems
- Electrical systems
- Transmission systems
- Mechanical systems
- Trailed equipment
- Relevant industry experience within the Land-Based Engineering sector.
Desirable Qualifications
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd).
- Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1).
- Previous experience delivering and assessing the Land-Based Engineering Apprenticeship Standard.
