The Role: Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to study right in the heart of the city and we currently have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and qualified Pharmacist who is a Non-Medical Prescriber V300 (Independent and Supplementary) to join the University working in a thriving, innovative and dynamic team that provide high quality Continuing Professional Development for the global health workforce.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support course lead with admissions process to include review of application forms.
- Contribute to the taught delivery and support course leadership for the NMP course.
- Develop and design teaching content for the essential pharmacology teaching across the course.
- Contribute to the review and improvement of non-medical prescribing teaching design and delivery, actively engaging in quality monitoring and enhancement processes.
- Engagement with experts by experience and external stakeholders.
- Provision and development of placement support for NMP students, Practice Assessors and Supervisors.
- Provide academic and pastoral support for students undertaking NMP course.
- Contribute to other relevant provision in the School at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Skills and Experience:
We are looking for someone who is committed and motivated and can enthuse and engage students, while also contributing to the Department’s scholarly and enterprise activities.
Credibility and proficiency in Non-Medical Prescribing is essential.
In addition, experience of supporting students is also desirable for this post. Ideally, you will hold a postgraduate award in teaching.
The ability to work within a team and autonomously, and IT skills are core requirements.
