Main
Duties & Responsibilities- Support course lead with admissions process and review of application forms.
- Contribute to the taught delivery and support course leadership for the District Nursing SPQ course.
- Develop and design teaching content for teaching and assessment across the course.
- Engage in review and improvement of teaching design and delivery, actively participating in quality monitoring and enhancement processes.
- Engage with experts by experience and external stakeholders.
- Provision and development of placement support for District Nursing students, Practice Assessors and Supervisors.
- Provide academic and pastoral support for students undertaking the DN course and wider programmes.
- Contribute to other relevant provision in the School at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who is committed and motivated, can enthuse and engage students, and can contribute to the Department’s scholarly and enterprise activities. Credibility and proficiency in the role of the District Nursing is essential and the post holder must have a recorded SPQ qualification with the NMC. Ideally you will hold a postgraduate award in teaching and have experience of supporting students.
Essential Criteria- SPQ within the field of District Nursing.
- Knowledge of the NMC SPQ standards and the NMC SSSA standards.
- Prescribing qualification (Ideally V300 but can be V150/100).
- Experience as a practice assessor/supervisor (any nursing student).
Desirable
Experience of supporting DN students in practice.
