About the role
This role will lead the compliance of all apprenticeship provision across CATCH UK’s engineering provision. You will monitor the quality of administration and enhance delivery of programmes, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure teaching, learning, and assessment meet regulatory high standards. This role works closely with curriculum developers, assessors, and delivery teams to maintain excellence in apprenticeship outcomes.
· Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes for apprenticeship programmes, ensuring alignment with industry standards, funding rules, and learner outcomes.
· Responsibility of time bound ILR submissions ensuring zero discrepancies in maximizing income stream.
· Monitor and evaluate delivery, assessment practices, and learner progress to ensure fairness, consistency, and reliability.
· Analyze qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., PDSATs, accountability frameworks) to identify trends, areas for improvement, and best practice opportunities.
· Collaborate with curriculum developers and delivery teams to ensure apprenticeship programs remain relevant, up to date, and aligned with standards, funding rules, and learner needs.
· Provide training and updates for both curriculum and support staff to promote a data driven continuous improvement approach to improve quality and compliance.
· Chair quality and compliance meetings, present areas of improvement with recommendations that can be monitored in documenting progress to drive forward quality and ensure compliance.
· Conduct internal reviews and audits of programme delivery to evaluate effectiveness and produce comprehensive reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating feedback from apprentices, employers, staff, and other stakeholders.
· Provide training, guidance, and support to staff to maintain high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
· Promote consistency in feedback, assessment practices, and use of learning management systems (e.g., Aptem) across the organisation.
· Keep up to date with national quality standards, industry best practices, and apprenticeship frameworks through conferences, webinars, and professional networks.
· Undertake any other duties in line with the role and CATCH policies.
· Discretion – Makes day to day decisions in accordance with the main tasks of the role and in accordance with CATCH policies and guidelines.
The duties and responsibilities in this job description are not restrictive and the post holder may be required to undertake other duties from time to time. Any such duties should not however substantially change the general character of the post.
Candidate requirements
Essential
· Proven experience in quality management within apprenticeships, vocational education, or the engineering sector.· Strong understanding and practical application of data management systems.· Strong communication and monitoring skills, with a confident approach to staff development and support. · Strong understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks, apprenticeship standards, and funding compliance (working closely with compliance teams).· Experience in internal auditing, programme evaluation, and reporting.· Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.· Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.· Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.· Proficiency in learning management and data systems (e.g., Aptem) and Microsoft Office suite.· Relevant qualifications in education, quality management, or vocational training are desirable.
· Experience working in an Education Institution
· Experience delivering systems-based training to different user groups.
· Understanding of training, apprenticeships and skill development and relevant qualification systems/awarding bodies
Work Environment
· Work Demands – The post holder will be required to work to overall targets set by the Chief Executive and the CATCH Board of Directors.
· Working Conditions – The post holder will be based at the Apprenticeship Delivery Centre for delivery of training and have flexibility to either come into the office or work from home on “non- contact days”.
