We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Engineering in the area of Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to join the Technology Subject Area team. In additional to delivering high quality curriculum to undergraduate and postgraduate students, current key priorities for the Subject Area include simulation and modeling, dynamics and vibration, solid mechanics, experimental testing and validation and predictive maintenance.
About you
Reporting to the Subject Leader for Technology, the post holder will be expected to lecture on mechanical engineering, manufacturing and quality techniques at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and also take on programme leadership duties. It would also be an advantage to be able to contribute to the delivery of lectures on engineering business techniques including innovation and entrepreneurship. The post holder will also be expected to develop and manage critical aspects of the expanding research and enterprise activities within the Subject Area.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree qualification or equivalent in relevant subject
- Master’s degree in relevant subject
- Doctorate in relevant subject, completed or within 12 months of completion
Desirable:
- Relevant professional qualification
- Professional Recognition as HEA Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA, or willingness to obtain within an agreed timescale
