Digital Skills Coach
About Rebuild With Hope Foundation (RBWH)
At RBWH, we believe that employment is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of reoffending. We provide structured employment pathways, training, and support to individuals facing barriers to work – building hope, skills, and community resilience.
We are expanding our services to include essential digital skills support, helping participants — including those from our Refugee Support Programme — to develop confidence, independence, and access employment and community services through digital inclusion.
About the Role
We are seeking a Digital Skills Coach to deliver face-to-face digital training sessions to individuals at beginner to low-intermediate levels.
Your sessions will cover essential topics such as basic email use, internet safety, Microsoft Office, applying for jobs online, online banking, smartphone skills, and introductory virtual reality (VR) workshops.
You will create a welcoming, flexible environment, adapting your approach based on participant needs — including supporting those facing language barriers or new to technology.
This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role, ideal for someone who is patient, practical, and passionate about making a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver digital skills sessions to small groups (1–10 participants) across RBWH sites.
- Facilitate engaging and accessible learning in areas such as email, internet navigation, online job applications, banking, smartphone usage, and VR basics.
- Adapt existing session plans and develop new resources where needed to meet participant needs.
- Support participants to use their own devices where possible, providing equipment when necessary.
- Work inclusively with participants who may have limited English proficiency, leveraging translation support and digital translation tools.
- Maintain basic records of attendance, session coverage, and participant feedback.
- Offer occasional one-to-one or small group coaching for participants requiring additional support.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of RBWH’s digital inclusion programme.
- Stay informed about evolving digital tools, platforms, and trends to ensure training remains current and engaging.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve digital inclusion initiatives based on participant experiences and outcomes.
- Organise or take part in community outreach events to promote digital literacy and inclusion.
