CLINICAL LECTURER (SCHOLARSHIP)

The Clinical Lecturer will join the Institute of Education for Medical and Dental Sciences as one of a team of academic, administrative and clerical staff who support the MBChB and other healthcare programmes. This post is part-time (up to 0.8FTE with a minimum requirement 0.4FTE). Applications are strongly encouraged from candidates who wish to focus on medical education but also wish to have the opportunity to maintain or develop separate clinical commitments. Working days would be negotiable but the requirements of the service are such that part time applicants would be expected to work either a Monday or a Friday. You will be based in the busy Clinical Skills Centre which is part of the Suttie Centre for Teaching and Learning in Healthcare, on the Foresterhill site.
The post is part of an expanding team of clinical staff who support the delivery of high-quality undergraduate clinical education in both the simulated environment, in the Clinical Skills Centre and other teaching facilities, as well as in the clinical environments.
You will join a multi-professional team of experienced staff and the Director and Manager of the Clinical Skills Centre, all of whom are responsible for the development and delivery of innovative and high-quality learning experiences for healthcare students. The appointee(s) will be managed by the Undergraduate Clinical Skills Lead ultimately accountable to Director of the Institute for Education in Medical and Dental Sciences.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Clinical scale for Academics below level of Consultant, £48,288 - £85,402 per annum, pro rata, with placement according to clinical experience.
