The Learning & Development team run the development programmes through ‘The CRS Business School’, which has been in operation for three and half year. The CRS Business School provides industry leading core business, management and leadership development to support every individual within our firm.
Roles and Responsibilities• Responsible for the operational management of all internal programmes and learning initiatives within the L&D function (The CRS Business School)• Supporting with the annual business planning process working with the other Senior L&D team• Scheduling and reporting (including, quality assurance, compliance and information management)• Managing L&D requests from across the business scoping the TNA, managing the learning design and implementation.• Ensuring effective evaluation of all learning activities• Ensuring the Learning Management System (CRS Business School Online is up to date with relevant information)• Budget responsibility, feeding into the annual budget planning round, accurately recording spend against planned actively. Managing the processing of external provider invoices and tracking.• Managing and delivering multiple complex projects across the team within the desired timeframe.• Manage the traditional and reverse mentoring programme• Managing the performance of a small team to deliver high quality outcomes• Reviewing and improving the quality-of-service delivery to meet client needs• Managing direct reports to effectively arranging and book, training rooms, catering, external facilitators, joining instructions, pre and post course work.• Effectively managing supplier relationships• Work closely with the faculty of the CRS Business School
Person SpecificationThe successful candidate is expected to have 5-7 years proven experience in a similar position within a professional services organisation and be familiar with partnership dynamics.
ExperienceMust be able to demonstrate significant experience and success in • Leading a team – this role will have up to 3 direct reports• A solid understanding of the complete learning cycle and operational management experience• Must have project management experience• A good knowledge and experience of working with learning management systems• Meticulous eye for detail and conscientious approach to work• Experienced in creating business management reports• Be able to work on their own initiative and support more junior team members to deliver to high standards• A team player with a “can do” attitude and deliver outcomes on time• Excellent project management skills with a track record of leading and developing high performance teams and seeing projects through to completion• Able to manage multiple and complex projects effectively to deadlines• Ability to communicate and manage senior management stakeholders• Experienced in providing learning solutions within a large multi stakeholder business, within Professional Services is advantageous but not essential• Proven organisational ability within a commercial and fast paced environment• Proactively take responsibility and solve complex problems• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal• Commercial awareness, financial acumen and a business-like approach to legal practice• Influence and build consensus,• Be decisive and focused on outcomes• Deal with the diverse (and sometimes conflicting) demands and requirements of a diverse legal practice and partner group
