Role Description
To drive quality performance and improvements within automotive and undertake Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activity within our Automotive academies, to ensure colleagues adhere to the highest possible standards of quality and compliance. Through robust and efficient implementation of the quality strategy and processes, the Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for ensuring that delivery and assessment effectively prepares learners for EPA and meets Sector, AO, and regulatory requirements.
The Quality Assurance Lead will play a key role in the self-assessment processes, actively contributing to quality improvement planning to enhance the learner experience and improve learner outcomes. The Quality Assurance Lead must be a Sector Specialist whose key role is to drive the Quality Strategy within their area, support and develop DCs, prepare assessment materials (including mocks) to ensure robust checks on learning, verifying, and confirming assessment decisions, analysing learner outcomes to inform improvement activity, and undertaking quality assurance activity across all stages of the learner journey to ensure standards are maintained.
Qualifications
- Relevant occupational sector experience (HGV experience preferable)
- Experience of leading and quality-assuring a team
- Experience of delivering training and support
- Experience of quality-assuring standards
- Experience in designing assessments and supporting processes that prepare learners for EPA
- Experience in the development and implementation of quality management processes
- Experience of the IQA cycle, awarding body requirements, and compliance with regulatory arrangements, including Ofsted inspections
- A robust understanding of vocational education and training, awarding bodies, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and work to deadlines and targets
- Ability to analyse data and statistical trends for continuous improvement
- Relevant qualifications including DET/Cert ED, TAQA, V1 Award, and IQA qualification
