The Role
Apprenticeships are a crucial part of our recruitment, retention and development strategy. We have been an accredited provider since 2021, with our first cohorts completing their programmes last year. Our aim is to be the provider of choice in the education sector; delivering excellent quality apprenticeship training, tailored to colleagues in educational and business support roles in schools, nurseries and other settings.
This exciting role is an opportunity to manage the Quality and Compliance within the apprenticeship provider. You will lead on all aspects of quality and compliance working alongside the Head of Apprenticeships, securing excellence in delivery and defining and implementing our quality strategy growth. You will be a manager within a thriving professional development function, with scope for impact across a national group of over 100 schools and the education sector more broadly.
The successful candidate will:
· Lead all aspects of quality and compliance within the apprenticeship provider, working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
· Ensure adherence to internal and external quality assurance measures, implementing policies and processes to maintain compliance.
· Manage the internal quality assurance process, including the development and monitoring of reports and improvement plans.
· Build supportive relationships with apprentices and stakeholders to ensure progression and engagement.
· Lead the implementation of delivery plans and quality assurance processes, ensuring high standards are consistently met.

About You
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Quality and Compliance Manager at United Learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in apprenticeship quality management and a proven track record of implementing effective delivery plans. They should possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Attention to detail, organisational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential traits for this role. The successful candidate will be adaptable, proactive, supportive, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance within our apprenticeship programmes. Essential:
· Apprenticeship quality management experience
· Experience of developing and implementing delivery plans
· Experience of implementing quality assurance processes
· Confidence proactively building and maintaining productive relationships with a variety of school-based staff and engaging stakeholders to support apprentices to successfully complete their programmes, including very senior education leaders
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to adapt communication to a range of different stakeholders
· Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
· Strong working knowledge of and confidence using Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
· Flexible and adaptable to changing environments and priorities with the ability to be proactive and bring new ideas and enthusiasm to the team as the provider’s operations continue to expand.
· Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise, work at pace and meet deadlines.
· High-level attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
· Ability to problem solve and adapt to change.
· Ability to operate with autonomy.
· Thorough knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Desirable:
· Knowledge of ESFA apprenticeships compliance requirements
· Willingness to learn online resource systems such as (OneFile)
· Experience of writing for varied audiences.
· Experience of building rapport with a range of stakeholders.
· Data protection awareness.
