You will be someone who has a passion and interest to drive forward and grow this provision. Recent, relevant professional experience in a teaching establishment is desirable for the position. Applicants for the post will have a Degree in a digital media subject and a PGCE or working towards one. Job Purpose To teach and assess across our digital media provision on games design, esports and media from Level 2 to Level 5 and act as a course tutor for either Level 2-5. To assist with the quality process within the department. ResponsibilitiesTeaching and assessing on a range of courses in games design, esports and media from Level 2 to Level 5. Course tutor on a programme which includes course administration and pastoral support for learners. Responsibility for course quality assurance and liaising with awarding bodies Preparation, delivery and assessment of learning across the division. Organisation of guest speakers and educational visits to support learner tutorials. Organisation of skills competitions with learners Liaising with relevant external bodies in organising extracurricular activities. Attendance at annual parents’/carers’ evenings Attendance at key marketing events, including open evenings Managing student tutorials and providing guidance Management and administration of learning programmes including timely marking of register Supervision of student visit programmes Interviewing prospective students Participation in curriculum development in agreed subject areas Participation in marketing activities If you would like to learn more about the role, please view the supporting documents.Note We welcome applications in Welsh or English.
