About the Role
The Isle of Wight College is currently recruiting a Lecturer in English.
The successful candidate will be teaching across the college with a specific focus on GCSE English, Functional Skills and Apprenticeships.
Your innovative style and approach to learning will be demonstrated through your enthusiasm to motivate and inspire, tailoring your teaching to take account of the wide range of backgrounds and varied academic and vocational aspirations of our students.
You would be thoroughly supported with any training needs you have, to ensure that you are fully equipped to deliver the curriculum and support students gain the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their studies.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be able to plan, deliver and assess the curriculum in line with the awarding body and College standards. You will also have the following –
- Minimum Level 5 qualification or equivalent
- A relevant teaching qualification or currently working towards
- An in-depth and practical knowledge of working within the discipline
- Good planning, preparation and organisation skills
