Do you want a new opportunity or a change of direction? Now is the right time to come and join us in the Patient Safety Team as we develop our Sirona strategy for Patient Safety incorporating the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).
A new role within Sirona, you will work as part of the Patient Safety Team and be responsible for contributing to investigations and managing learning responses, as well as identifying learning and disseminating across Sirona. This learning can then be used to identify effective and sustainable improvements.
The Learning Response Coordinator will work in line with Being Open and Duty of Candour principles, ensuring appropriate investigation/review methodology and a systems-based approach to support Sirona’s Patient Safety improvement work. This includes developing a culture of continuous learning and improvement and one where staff feel psychologically safe to raise patient safety concerns. The post holder will also support the process of learning from incidents and ensure these inform organisation wide improvement programmes and learning and development activities.
You will be expected to work in close collaboration with colleagues and provide support to the wider Quality and Safety team and across Sirona for all aspects of quality and safety.
There are 4 vacancies for this role. 2 x permanent and 2 x1 year fixed term.
Support coordination of complex Patient Safety learning responses ensuring the use of recognised investigation tools techniques, using formulation and adjustment to overcome complexities in terms of availability of all persons/departments involved.
Contribute to the provision of expert advice to the organisation to ensure that learning from incidents makes a positive difference to patient safety.
Support learning following incidents, gathering learning from confidential and sensitive sources such as learning responses, and coordinating learning outputs to ensure key learning is captured and shared, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
Work with the patient safety team to develop and interpret patient safety data to support improvement work.
Prepare, analyse, and present high quality reports relating to quality, governance, and safety work streams on a regular weekly or monthly basis, using a variety of reports and data sets.
Develop and maintain effective working processes and relationships to ensure performance and quality standards are met and to be a lead and role model within the area of Patient Safety.
