Description
Lead GTI's Instructional Design strategy. Optimise the user experience across digital channels and Careers Advice and Guidance. Deliver a growth roadmap of GenZ-optimised e-learning tools to a market of over 1 million students.
As a thought leader within our business, you will own the end-to-end instructional design approach, provide pedagogy coaching and upskilling to others and be responsible for scaling GTI's capabilities in this emerging space.
Reporting into the Student Success Lead, you will manage an instructional design calendar, commission external subject matter experts and be supported by Content, Product, Design and Technology teams to deliver to a compelling Content strategy.

- GTI's in-house instructional design capabilities are improved, with learnings applied more widely across UX/UI, Product, Commercial, Events and other channels.
Responsibilities to include:
- Own and maintain GTI's e-learning content strategy, considering the needs of clients and evaluating progress against this at every stage.
- Utilise instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and best practices to create effective learning experiences and digital experiences.
- Work closely with clients and subject matter experts to analyse learning needs and objectives.
- Design and develop engaging and interactive instructional materials, including client facing e-learning courses, videos, simulations, and assessments.
- Collaborate with multimedia specialists, designers, and developers to integrate multimedia elements into instructional materials.
- Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of instructional content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with learning objectives.
- Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design and e-learning.
- Work closely with the wider business including face-to-face client meetings to fully understand specific requirements.
- Take ownership of the e-learning content go-to-market proposition, both in terms of broad content themes, course bundling, industry wrappers and any specific requirements.
- Be accountable for reporting on e-learning content KPI's such as delivery times, course usage and course performance, with regular progress reports against the content strategy/roadmap and opportunities to improve.
- Work collaboratively with clients and SMEs to ensure that learning solutions are innovative and meet their needs
- Research the subject matter to become adequately informed of the topic
- Apply best practice learning design and multimedia principles to all resources
- Manage content delivery and timelines ensuring key milestones are hit
- Manage stakeholders and create strong positive relationships
Person Specification
- You are a motivated self-starter.
- Proven experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or a related role.
- Understanding of learning theories, instructional design models, and assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to write clear briefs, functional documentation and communicate with internal and external content providers.
- Experience designing and script writing digital learning solutions on a range of formats e.g., podcasts, videos, infographics etc.
- Preferable: Experience of UX copywriting.
- Preferable: Proficiency with instructional design software and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).

- 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 9.00 – 5.30pm
- 3-month probationary period
