Yeovil as the principal town of South Somerset is set in beautiful countryside close to the wider South West and all of its benefits, making for a fulfilling work/life balance.We are looking for a inspirational Lecturer/Study Programme Manager in Health & Social Care to join our dedicated Health, Care & Early Years department here at Yeovil CollegeTo teach and course manage on all levels Health and Social Care programmes and tutor accordingly, coordinating the monitoring and tracking of learners’ achievements, progression and destinations. To Quality assure all course and delivery materials to ensure awarding body and college compliance in conjunction with the Curriculum Area Manager and to coordinate the effective use of learning support by the course team to ensure support is in place via SEN/ ALS team. Liaising with the team to ensure that course team complete and maintain all appropriate programme documentation, management, and statistical information in line with Department, College and external procedures and to undertake reasonable promotional and marketing activity as agreed with the Curriculum Area Manager and within the parameters of the Collective Agreement. For full details of key roles & accountabilities please view the Job Description attached.To be considered for this role you will need to be able to evidence the following:At least 2 year’s industry or vocationally relevant teaching/training experience.Teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards) Relevant degree.English & Maths, GCSE grade C or equivalent.Proven ability to create and maintain appropriate work systems. Passionate about teaching and learning.Proven ability to work as part of a team. Full time 37 hours a week, all year round - however part time will be considered for the right candidate.Salary £28,755 - £37,169 FTE depending on experience and qualifications (pro rata where hours are part time).
