Introduction to Role:
Are you ready to set the pace and approach for strategic capability building activities across our global operations network? We are looking for a dynamic leader who can work with our Global Operations Management teams to agree on timings and styles of learning and development interventions. You will provide cohesion and collaboration to a globally dispersed network of learning professionals, maximizing the outcomes of learning interventions and minimizing duplication of effort. This role also involves leading a team of practitioners in different expert areas and managing budgetary/cost reporting.
Accountabilities:
As the Head of Learning & Development, you will develop and implement an overall strategy for Learning & Development across Global Operations that fulfils near and long-term capability requirements. You will work in partnership with the business and HR to develop a long-range strategic workforce plan and future capability requirements. You will also oversee the design and implementation of new internal and external training and development programs to meet skills gaps and future growth requirements.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- An internally recognized Operations & supply chain leader or experienced L&D Professional who has the gravitas and skills to influence at all levels of the organization
- A track record of delivering improved business performance, driving innovation and a passion for enabling others to grow and develop within and beyond their current roles.
- Leads by example in the way they approach their personal development and that of their team
- Significant experience in championing and driving digital improvement initiatives, and leading the change management efforts required to fully embrace new ways of working
- Demonstrated leadership acumen of managing large globally dispersed team – ideally including elements of hard and dotted line responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and influence the broader organization.
- An expert communicator with the ability to translate learning and development theory into practical and meaningful interventions that resonates with organization
- Able to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems using conceptual and data driven analytical and quantitative skills
- Project management, analytical and research skills and expertise
- A broad and creative thinker with strong learning agility
