Head Of Delivery – (Western Region)
Home Based with extensive regional travel and occasional national travel.
This is an exciting opportunity to join JTL.
We are looking for a Head of Delivery who will be accountable and responsible for the effective management and delivery of the Regional Business Plans. You will be part of the senior leadership team contributing to the quality and improvement work led by the Deputy Delivery Director that has set out the learner journey. You will be responsible for ensuring JTL training centres are run efficiently and subcontracted provision is delivered to the required standard.
This role offers a unique opportunity to support the end-to-end learner journey to be delivered to the expected JTL standard with agreed targets for all the learners in learning to achievement.
Your key responsibilities will include overall planning and management of individual targets at assessor and tutor level whilst identifying any issues and providing solutions to meet the targets agreed in the business plan. To ensure safeguarding is always maintained throughout the region adhering to the policies and procedures set out by the Deputy Delivery Directorate.
You will be required to manage the relationship of sub-contracted provision in line with all associated sub-contractor and auditory standards and requirements within the region at the Principal or Vice Principal level, ensuring regular performance management meetings are in place (based on a combination of risk and annual business cycles) and intervene where required to mitigate operational and financial risks and maintain delivery quality standards.
To manage the relationship with any national accounts or large employers with head offices within the region including performance of the learners, resolution of issues, deployment of appropriate resources. Build and Maintain good working relationships with external parties, attending and assisting with relevant networks, events, and committees to promote JTL business wherever possible and to feed back as appropriate on external developments of importance to JTL. These include but are not limited to ECA, JIB, LSIPs and careers events.
To review and assess the structure and team has sufficient SME’s who are knowledgeable and competent to contribute to curriculum development. Your direct reports will be the Delivery Team Managers and Training Centre Supervisors.
Qualifications and experience:
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent with 6 good O Levels/GCSEs or equivalent including Math and English (A-C).
- Working knowledge of building services, engineering and related industries.
- Proven management experience with responsibility of large teams over a wide geographical area.
- Experience of remote management.
- KPI setting and management.
- Excellent IT skills including use of databases/dashboards for performance information.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Driving Licence.
- Live within the region, responsible to limit the amount of travelling time.
- Working knowledge or experience of work-based learning and Government funded training. provision with the rules and associated regulations.
