Barbering and Hairdressing Tutor
Salary £31,061 - £35,997 per annum
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Barbering and Hairdressing Tutor to join our great team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both barbering and hairdressing and be enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with aspiring young future professionals.
As part of your responsibilities you will;
- Deliver engaging lessons and workshops in barbering and hairdressing, including planning, teaching and assessment from Level 2-3
- Provide hands-on training to students, ensuring they develop both technical skills and creative flair.
- Create lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials tailored to the needs of individual students
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration and creativity
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and cutting-edge.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality and learner progress across the programme of study to secure positive outcomes for learners to enable progression into employment.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a barber or hairdresser, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Recognised qualifications in barbering and hairdressing
- Hold a teaching qualification and assessors award, or be willing to achieve these within 3 years of commencing employment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for helping others succeed and achieve their full potential
- Ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
