(39 hours per week/52 weeks per year)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, forward thinking Maintenance Engineering Lecturer to join our growing Engineering team.
We are looking for a qualified maintenance engineer with or without teaching experience to deliver a range of engineering subjects to our apprentices in Pride Park, Derby.
Learning unlimited Derby is a small site with 7 onsite Engineering Tutors around 300 engineering apprentices. The apprentices that the successful candidate will teach all attend 1 day per week to complete the knowledge aspect of their apprenticeship standard.
You will have your own maintenance workshop that you can set up and have full responsibility for and also have access to a range of classrooms too.
As you gain experience and become more comfortable in the role there may be an opportunity to work across our main campus in addition to Derby.
Applicants should hold at least a Level 3 qualification in engineering (however a HNC/D would be an advantage), have a manufacturing/maintenance background and varied experience in the engineering sector. The successful applicant will be required to deliver both workshop and theory sessions in engineering up to level 3 for apprentices.
We work closely with a number of local employers and deliver across multiple areas within the engineering sector, specialising in manufacturing, maintenance, fabrication & welding and design.
Teaching experience/possession of a teaching qualification and assessor award would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided to the correct applicant. It is our vision for this new member of the team to enhance our current delivery and contribute towards developing a curriculum that meets the needs of our local employers.
If you think that you have the qualities, skills and aspirational attitudes to join the Engineering team we look forward to hearing from you.
