The Director of HE & Academic Standards will lead on the design, strategy and implementation of the college’s HE Strategy and associated academic standards. The Director is responsible for all aspects of oversight, managing and developing Higher Education and the associated academic and college staff while aligned to the college vision and values. The postholder will be part of the senior leadership team and will be expected to contribute to all aspects of college operations in line with the needs of the business and fulfil duties associated with SLT responsibilities The postholder will have a master’s degree, higher or equivalent in Education or in a related field, and significant experience in a leadership role within an educational institution and be familiar with Office for Students (OfS) regulations and Pearson HNC/Ds. The postholder will be the college’s senior expert and advisor on matters relating to Higher Education regulation and assessment of quality and standards, providing accurate, solution-focused guidance on issues related to the regulatory landscape and its impact on educational delivery, developing partnerships with HEIs and alignment to awarding bodies, notably Pearson HNC/Ds and HTQs.
