Diploma Only Qualifications Assessor in Health and Social Care
Flexible Location – Covering the North
£28,715 - £29,271 per year
35 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 17:00pm
We have an opportunity for a Diploma Only Qualifications Assessor in Health and Social Care to join our Qualifications Care team which sits under the Learning and Development team which is part of the HR Department. The team has 13 members in various parts of the country including Scotland and is dedicated to supporting our care / support staff to achieve their health and social care qualifications from level 2 – 5. The job holder will be responsible for undertaking Assessments for QCF programmes ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services in line with business requirements. In this varied role the successful applicant could be in a care home one day and a supported living service the next.
The role of Diploma Only Qualifications Assessor in Health and Social Care will include:
- Supporting a caseload of 40 learners to gather evidence for their RQF Health and Social care Qualifications. These are Sanctuary staff who are based in various locations throughout the North of England who you will be visiting and observing on a regular basis
- Supporting learners to use our electronic portfolio system OneFile and working from home judge evidence to be at the correct qualification level to meet the unit criteria
- Attending standardisation meetings monthly either via teams or in Worcester at our Head office
- Completing CPD activities to retain occupational competency to assess Health and Social care qualifications
Skills and experiences:
- D32/33 or TAQA L3 or equivalent
- Health and social care qualifications to a minimum of level 3 as a minimum or above is required
- Recent experience of undertaking a similar role undertaking Assessments of RQF programmes
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice principles
- Some experience working with RQF quality assurance systems
- Professional experience in disciplines relevant to the RQFs being delivered
- Experience in planning your own diary and building relationships with learners, staff, managers of services
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams

- Role salary is £23,270 with an additional policy allowance of £5,445 per annum (rising to £24,495 with an additional policy allowance of £4,776 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
