The Exciting Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Curriculum Leader for our Choices Team on a fixed term contract for one year (maternity cover).
The Choices programme is designed to address the unique needs of learners with Special Educational Needs (SEND), many of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This is achieved through the provision of individually tailored programmes within a well-structured curriculum. The curriculum is designed to support learners to develop their independent living skills, personal skills, social interaction and communication skills and employability skills to fully prepare them for adult life, participation in their local community and employment. Learners also continue to develop their literacy, numeracy and digital skills.
Our approach ensures a personalised learning experience that aligns with the specific requirements of each student. The programme employs a range of effective teaching strategies, language, materials and learning aids. By incorporating these elements, the aim is to develop and enhance the knowledge, skills and behaviours of each learner, recognising and accommodating their individual learning styles and preferences. This person-centred approach promotes a supportive and enriching educational environment, fostering not only academic growth, but also overall personal development in line with the Preparing for Adulthood agenda.
The successful candidate will be required to travel across sites.
