The University of Salford is now looking for a Compliance Officer to provide support to the Apprenticeship Services Unit.
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise a varied workload and work to deadlines, a strong attention to detail and the initiative to develop and maintain systems and processes.
The ideal candidate will also have excellent customer service skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels across the University and externally with employers and stakeholders by using different communication methods where necessary and or directed by the line manager.
Responsibilities
A key part of this role will be to support the effective delivery of mandatory apprenticeship funding requirements including compliant onboarding of apprentices and employers and supporting and coordinating on programme apprentice compliance checks. The role holder will be expected to demonstrate high levels of initiative, outstanding time management and organisational skills and be creative, energetic, open, and collaborative. As well as a good understanding of the funding rules.
The role holder will audit across all parts of the apprentice’s journey from onboarding to EPA Ensuring all funding rules are met. Working with the Schools and the Gateway & End Point Assessment Coordinator, the Compliance Officer will escalate non-compliance with areas such as off-the-job recording and where necessary work with stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure all apprentices are meeting the funding rules from onboarding to achievement. All apprentice records will also be kept up to date and compliant for audit purposes.
