Assistant Principal
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the senior leadership team at The Sixth Form College Farnborough in a new and truly exciting role that will be pivotal in taking the College forward on the next steps in its mission “to be a distinguished provider of the highest quality education, enriching the lives of students within a lively, caring community and enabling all to develop the skills to meet the demands of a changing world with confidence”.
Working closely with the Principal and within a team of three Assistant Principals, the successful candidate will contribute to the leadership and overall strategic management of the College in order to maximise students’ outcomes and achievements, and take overall strategic and operational responsibility for the College’s partnerships with external stakeholders, the wider College curriculum (beyond the academic courses that students study), student progression and destinations, and admissions, marketing and external communications.

The Sixth Form College - A Centre of Excellence
Judged outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in September 2021, the College now has over 4,000 students enrolled on over 40 Level 3 courses. The College community continues to grow and a record number of applications were received for September 2024.
In recent years, academic outcomes have been well above the national average both in attainment and progress. Alps value added measures consistently put the College in at least the top 25% of providers nationally both at A level and for vocational courses.
As well as the pursuit of academic excellence, the College is renowned for its commitment to providing the highest possible standard of pastoral care. A team of highly experienced tutors provide group/one-to-one support and students also have access to an on-site counselling service.
