Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Apprenticeships Business Development Manager to join our Apprenticeships Team. As an Apprenticeships Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for engaging employers, identifying their workforce needs and ensuring that their needs can be met through apprenticeships we deliver. You will identify new business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and drive revenue growth through recruiting new apprentices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, with experience in apprenticeships.
Duties:
- Map existing networks with employers and create new networks to support employers for workforce planning, developing innovative solutions to workforce demand through apprenticeships
- Actively engage employers; increase the number and type of connection with all partners
- Create business cases for employers to help them understand the benefits of apprenticeships for their business and workforce development
- Understand how employers view apprenticeships and demonstrate how they can assist them to achieve their goals
- Organise events to engage employers, deliver presentations to influence their workforce strategy
- Participate in and attend industry functions to gain insight on new trends and information that is likely to impact on workforce strategies
- Clearly segment the customer base to identify customer targets and associated strategies
- Ensure apprenticeships delivered by Community Matters meet the needs of employers, and that the apprenticeships are employer led
- Support the planning, development, delivery and monitoring of apprenticeships ensuring that the programmes continued alignment with employer needs, demands, expectations and requirements
- Develop a clear sales strategy for Community Matters apprenticeship delivery
- Develop new business opportunities with existing and new customers, operating at multiple levels within the customer organisation
- Monitor tenders and other opportunities; produce and submit high-quality proposals and bid responses
- Create content for publicity and work with designer to co-produce materials
- Create and deliver marketing campaigns; ensure all leads are followed up
- Support employers in establishing apprenticeships within their organisations
- Oversee and support employers in creating DAS (Digital Apprenticeship Service) accounts
- Oversee and support employers in negotiating and getting apprenticeship levy transfers where necessary and appropriate
- Oversee and support employers in their recruitment of apprentices (e.g. job descriptions, adverts, shortlisting and interviews, contracts etc.)
- Ensure that employers are liaised with on an ongoing basis through the delivery of any apprenticeship programme; ensuring that they are fully involved
- Creating a feedback mechanism and capturing employer feedback
Skills:
- Proven track record in sales or business development, preferably in apprenticeship delivery
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to facilitate workshops, webinars and information sessions
- Excellent IT skills
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for results
We offer a generous bonus scheme on top of a competetive basic gross salary in the range of £53,000 to £58,500 per annum (pro-rata). This is a part-time position mainly based in our office location.
