Personalised Learning Assistant (Maths and Science)
Sir William Perkins's School is seeking a Personalised Learning Assistant with a background in Mathematics or Science to support high ability secondary students with additional needs, including ADHD, Autism, dyslexia and dyscalculia.
Responsibilities
- Deliver subject, study skills and executive functioning support to students in a creative, student centred environment.
- Work alongside the SENCO and curriculum staff to design and implement tailored interventions.
- Participate in the wider department under the guidance of the Head of Personalised Learning.
- Maintain the school's high standards for safeguarding and inclusion at all times.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent, essential.
- Degree in a relevant subject, essential.
Experience
- Teaching experience, essential.
Skills
- Ability to instill a strong sense of belief and accountability in both staff and students, essential.
- Focused on standards and positive outcomes, essential.
- Adaptability - ability to adapt style to a variety of situations and people, essential.
