A specialist SEN school in Merton is looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TAs) to support pupils with Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and complex needs across both the Primary and Secondary provisions.
Position details:
Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) positions to start in September 2026
Long-term agency roles with potential for ongoing opportunities
Full-time position only (5 days per week)
Supporting pupils with Autism, SLD, and additional needs in a specialist setting
Trial days taking place before September for successful candidates
Location: Morden (Northern Line)
The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant will have:
At least 3 months' experience supporting children or young people with SEN, Autism, SLD, or additional needs
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with complex needs
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a wider multidisciplinary team
A genuine passion for helping children and young people achieve their full potential
You will need:
A fully enhanced Child and Adult DBS
Full-time availability (5 days per week)
Availability to attend a trial day before September
Experience supporting children with SEN, Autism, SLD, or additional needs is desirable
