Health & Social Care Lecturer

Salary Range: £32,429 to £46,618 (Dependent on Experience & Qualifications FTE)
We are seeking dedicated full-time and part-time Lecturers in Health and Social Care. The part-time position is for 3 days per week, expected to be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in nursing or a related area, who are passionate about teaching and have up-to-date clinical experience in the Health or Social Care sector.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative lectures in Health and Social Care subjects to a diverse group of students.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and ensure an effective learning environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the subject matter and integrate the latest industry trends into the curriculum.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students as needed.
- Participate in curriculum development activities and staff meetings to discuss best practices and continuous improvement in teaching methods.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Nursing or a related area.
- Some teaching or training experience in a relevant field.
- Up-to-date clinical experience gained within the Health or Social Care sector.
- Ability to teach Health and Science subjects effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in both teaching and subject-specific knowledge.
