Nursery Practitioner
Head Start Day Nursery in Milton Keynes

Salary £13,396.90 to £14,212 (depending on experience and qualifications with regular pay reviews)
Hours: Monday Wednesday Thursday Friday - 8:30am - 3pm, Tuesday 8:30am - 1:30pm (Term Time Only)

Our Head Start Day Nursery in Milton Keynes, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery
Head Start is a well-established nursery based at Milton Keynes Village Hall, offering a calm, welcoming environment for local families. Located in the heart of Milton Keynes Village, the nursery benefits from a peaceful setting, outdoor green space, and convenient on site parking.
Outdoor Area
Outdoor learning is an important part of our curriculum. Through Forest School sessions and daily outdoor play, children have opportunities to explore nature, build confidence, and develop key skills through hands on experiences.
What will you be doing
- Promotehigh standards of qualitywithin the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children
- Assumekey carerresponsibilities for designated children
- Ensure that all children attending the nursery receiverich and stimulating experiencesappropriate to their age and stage of development
- Prepare andsupportchildren's activities
- In the absence of the Team/Room Leader maintaineffective day to day managementof the environment
- Contribute to ensuring that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of theEarly Years Foundation Stage
- Support and mentor students and un qualified staff to ensure delivery ofhigh quality childcare practice and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
